Agnieszka Rudnicka is a photographer, photojournalist, filmmaker and a fine artist. With a background in human sciences, her projects focus mainly on social related subjects. Bridging photojournalism and fine art she tries to address sensitive subjects in an artistically engaging way.Winner of an Award of Merit at the Los Angeles Film Festival of Hollywood (2010), Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (HIPA) international photography competition finalist (2013), the best documentary finalist at the Hollywood Film Festival (2015). Committed to using all mediums to enhance the lives of underprivileged and those with disabilities, her recent documentary, In His Shoes, shot as an awareness campaign on profound intellectual disability has been screened at Cannes Film Festival SFC and Hollywood Film Festival where it was recognised as one of five best documentaries in the Image and Justice category.Her deep interest in understanding consciousness and different ways of life have prompted her to travel across continents to remote places in Central, East and South-East Asia, the Middle East and South America, developing a personal photographic research and an extensive image library.With an ongoing series, she continues to document lives of indigenous peoples, shamans and so-called holy man and women across the globe.
