A Drop in the River
As a person growing up in the Eastern part of China, Northwest is always like a wild dream to me. The grandeur of its mountains and waters, the legendary Silk Road history, and the diverse ethnic minority culture fascinate me ever since I was a little kid. Flying deep into this wonderland for the first time in my life, I got the precious chance last summer to see the central land of China and shortly experience the life of its locals, which is influenced heavily by urbanization and tourism. This series, therefore, is nostalgic documentation of the unique region, showing its social development through a micro, environmental viewpoint.
