Street Portraiture : The Portrait Project

For the last couple of years I’ve been documenting the streets of my city, Portland, Oregon USA. My intent is to create a level of empathy for the marginalized yet beautiful souls that inhabit the streets. I shoot mostly with a Leica Q2 Monochrom with a fixed 28mm lens. It empowers me to get closer to my subjects and really get to know them in the process of creating a portrait together.
