BRUTALISM — SEARCHING WASHINGTON\'S UNDERGROUND
I intended to take these images \"MetroArt\" and to reduce this interior to its simplest forms—a space that is normally regarded as utilitarian, becomes a work of art. All images shouldn’t look like a train station at all. The lack of people elevates my understanding of this place. It begins to look like a futuristic amphitheater or the inside of a space station. These images transform a set of escalators into a pair of sculptural monoliths. Enjoy these pictures that fully transform our understanding of these objects and interiors. This form of architectural design is called brutalism.
