In a time of digital perfection, I consciously seek the imperfect, the human, the random. Because where control ends, the magic of photography begins.

Born in Cuxhaven, Matthias Radtke grew up and finished school in Gerlingen, Swabia. Matthias Radtke moved early 90’s to Berlin to study architecture and found his private and professional home there. For professional reasons, Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, became the new home. The physical proximity to the big cities of Hamburg and Berlin allows nature and city to be combined as sources of inspiration.
