The day I went to Senegal
These photographs presented here are the encounter with life itself. It is an exercise of honesty and estrangement without the intent of judging or valuing. Just paying attention to what it was (at that time) an unknown environment to me. Rescuing the element of dignity and portraying hope.
Senegal is a country where the basic tenets of human needs are often underserved. The material struggle is palpable, however what I found was spiritual strength and extraordinary dignity. In a few words, this project is the result of the search of self-knowledge and the reencounter with the essence of a life without noise.
