Grief in Metaphors
Grief can come from any trigger for someone who is within it, and it is unlike anything else- the feelings becoming almost palpable when they now have nowhere to land. Waves of memories overcome you from all directions at times. You can look around and see it surrounding you. It might envelope you if you rest. It could overwhelm you if you don\'t process it. It will consume you if you can\'t learn to carry it. You can put it off, sidestep it, be stubborn about it, but it will find you if you don\'t push directly through it. This is what grief looks like for me.
