As time goes by
I made this work about my mom. Hereby I scanned old family photos and photographed a new one every time. My intention was to dwell on the time that mercilessly passes, when more and more goodbyes have to be said. The use of old and new images creates a contrast between what was once and never comes back. It is a personal confrontation with a feeling of sadness. For everything she had to leave behind. Her loved ones, her house, her possibilities and a piece of dignity. Ultimately, the shadow remains of a mom who was once so active and entrepreneurial.
