XXX Ma, Andy, Bay, the Cats & the Others

This is a very personal series. It is my version of a family portrait. For this project I only worked with disposable cameras, always having one on me for a period of about three years. My mother has always photographed very obsessively, photographing anything and everything all day long. My brother and I are often the subjects of her photos, having to re-enact situations that just happened and pose for the same photo that she has taken hundreds of times already. It has been something that I have always struggled with and has tested our relationship many times but I admire her perseverance at the same time. I decided to do what she was doing and turn the camera back on her and the rest of my family, in my own way.
