Marble and Fog
The marble quarries are often brought to public attention: an asset, a necessary damage, an environmental defacement… All definitions that fossilize our perception. These shots are taken in a quarry at the top of a mountain in the Carrara region. The geometry of cuts made by men is opposed to the softness and indefiniteness of fog, creating a nowhere land of mystery and peace where senses extend and perception is completely modified.
