A longterm project in which I show a man's journey to accept himself and to be free to express himself as he is. Free from restrictions posed by his cultural background and expectations set on him by his family.

I live and work in the Amsterdam area in The Netherlands.

During the period 1985 - 1991 I studied Art History at the University of Leiden. After my study I have taken photography courses at Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London (1999), Fotogram in Amsterdam (2001) and Fotoacademie in Amsterdam (2014-2016).

The images I make are invitations for contemplation. It is a hectic world we live in full of incitement. I like to invite people to take time and to contemplate on what is genuinely important to them and their lives. In my portraits I explore authenticity and individuality.

Exhibitions include Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam (2012 and 2016) en Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen in The Netherlands (2017).
