Icebreaker
Icebreaker is a solo, self-funded series that harnesses aerial light-painting to highlight the beauty of our cryosphere while inviting viewers to witness the impacts of climate change. Spanning three countries; Switzerland’s Rhone Glacier, Chilean Patagonia\'s Ice Fields, and Iceland’s glacial lagoons, Icebreaker bridges art and advocacy, offers striking visuals that open the conversation about the fragile state of our frozen rivers. Globally, glaciers lose an average of 267 billion metric tons of ice per year This rate is accelerating, risking some of our world\'s most incredible landscapes and impacting countless economies and ecologies. With 2025 being the United Nations International Year of Glacier\'s Preservation, a global collective response is overdue. Icebreaker underscores this urgency by presenting glaciers as living entities; once resilient, now vulnerable. A tribute to their enduring beauty and a call to action to protect these frozen leviathans before they become extinct.
