On top of the World

I went to Nepal to meet a Tibetan-Buddhist teacher whom I originally met in Barcelona. After Nepal, Destiny took me on a Motorcycle trip through Northern India. It completely changed my life. While capturing these images, I did not plan on becoming a Photographer. I just wanted to capture the beauty and the apparitions along the way. However, after this experience, I decided to leave behind 11 years as a Graphic Designer, and have been completely dedicated to Photography ever since. Now, My life as a professional Photographer allows me to combine both art with spirituality.

In 2009 I went on a life-changing journey.
It was a combination of fortuitous events that were born out of a spiritual awakening in my life and the good fortune of having a camera with me to document it.
I made a long journey by motorbike along the Himalayan routes and came into contact with millenary cultures, people and landscapes lost in time that made a deep impression and impact on my view of the world, of reality.
This led to a radical change in my life, leaving 12 years as a graphic designer aside and starting with photography as a tool of expression.

I use analogue cameras and print my final artwork with modern inkjet technology on handmade paper in Nepal.
This approach gives a special stamp to the work, which acquires a texture and colour rendering far from the usual, somewhat pastel and very unsaturated. The images thus acquire a degree of timelessness and a painterly touch.
